1. Start with baby clothing

When people buy clothes for a baby, many look for organic cotton first. Baby clothing is the one category where organic is already the norm. Parents choose it because a baby's skin is sensitive and they want fewer unknowns in what touches it. Nobody finds that choice extreme.

人们为宝宝买衣服时,许多人会首先寻找有机棉。婴儿服装是有机已经成为常态的品类。父母这样选择,是因为宝宝的肌肤敏感,他们希望贴身的东西少一些未知。没有人觉得这个选择过分。

Adult skin is less delicate, but one thing is the same: what we wear sits against our skin for many hours every day, through heat and sweat. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, and the GOTS standard sets limits on the chemicals used when the fabric is made. So if organic is the sensible choice for a baby's clothes, it is a fair question why adults do not ask for the same. That question is behind everything we make.

2. How to read a T-shirt label in 30 seconds

Whoever you buy from, these three checks tell you what you are really getting.

Check 1: Look at the fibre percentages. The label lists what the fabric is made of, such as 55% cotton and 45% another fibre. The biggest number is the main material. If a product is called "organic" but the label says only part of it is organic cotton, you should know that.

检查一:看纤维百分比。标签会列出面料的成分,例如 55% 棉和 45% 其他纤维。数字最大的就是主要材料。如果产品名称写着"有机",但标签显示只有一部分是有机棉,您应该知道这一点。

Check 2: Is "organic" a certificate, or just a word? Anyone can print the word "organic". A certification such as GOTS means an independent body has checked the product. GOTS has two label grades. The "organic" grade needs at least 95% certified organic fibres, and "made with organic" needs at least 70%.

检查二:"有机"是认证,还是只是一个词?任何人都可以印上"有机"这个词。而像 GOTS 这样的认证,意味着有独立机构审核过产品。GOTS 有两个标签等级:"有机"等级需要至少 95% 的认证有机纤维,"含有机成分"等级需要至少 70%。

Check 3: What is the rest made of? Polyester is a synthetic fibre. It is common because it is cheap and holds its shape. It is not good or bad, it is just a different material. The point is to know what you are buying, and then choose.

检查三:其余部分是什么材料?涤纶是一种合成纤维。它很常见,因为价格便宜、不易变形。它没有好坏之分,只是另一种材料。重点是知道自己买的是什么,然后再选择。

GOTS certification applies to our Organic Cotton Cap and Second Skin Organic Boxer and Thong only. Our Raglan Tee is 55% organic cotton, so it is not GOTS-certified, and we do not say it is.

GOTS 认证仅适用于我们的有机棉帽,以及 Second Skin 有机男款内裤和女款内裤。我们的 Raglan T 恤含 55% 有机棉,因此没有 GOTS 认证,我们也不会这样宣称。

When you make fewer things, you can give each one more attention. We put our time and money into the fabric, the cut and the finish, not into filling a catalogue. For you, it means less choice and less headache. You do not have to scroll through hundreds of options, and you spend less time deciding what to wear. It also keeps your closet simple. That was not why we started, but we are glad it is a result.

4. Real organic fabric, from a supplier we trust

We source our fabric only from a trusted supplier. Real organic fabric is expensive and comes in limited batches, so we are very careful about what we make and how much. We would rather make less and get it right.

我们的面料只来自值得信赖的供应商。真正的有机面料成本高,而且每批数量有限,所以我们对生产的内容和数量都非常谨慎。我们宁可少做,也要做好。

5. Made to last, not to be thrown away

Fast fashion is built to be worn a few times and thrown away. That means more waste, more wasted resources and a bigger impact on the environment. We chose the opposite: pieces made to last, so you buy less often and keep what you buy. The most sustainable piece of clothing is the one you keep wearing.

6. Priced so everyone can try organic

We are a small startup, and we keep our costs minimal to survive. We price the range so more people can try natural fibres without breaking their wallet. The goal is simple: let everyone try organic.

Let's use the three checks on a real example. Brand S is a Malaysian streetwear brand. We compare one T-shirt from each, using only the details printed on each product page. Our Raglan Tee is RM139. Their College Logo Tee is RM148. The price is in the same range. The difference is in the fabric.

So what does that mean for you? If you are already buying a T-shirt at this price, you can choose one with organic cotton and a plant-fibre blend and no polyester, for slightly less. That is all we are saying. It is your choice.
